Tips to safeguard your card details:
DO NOT
- Write your card PIN anywhere that is easily seen/accessible or share with others.
- Save or allow your browser to store your card number, login or personal details. Re-enter your details manually instead.
- Create a PIN using your birth date, IC number or consecutive numbers (eg: 123456)
- Buy things or bank online if you are on any unsecured WiFi network, including office or hotel WiFi.
- Share your card details and OTP with anyone.
ALWAYS
- Remember your card PIN. Memorize it and DO NOT write it down.
- Ensure transaction alerts/SMS/email notifications are enabled to monitor your transaction activities.
- Check that the shopping/Banking website URL has the "lick" icon or "https:"
- Cover the keypad when entering your card PIN to prevent others around from seeing it.
- Be present when paying with your card to ensure you can see the entire payment process.
- Set a transfer limit according to your banking needs.
If you think your bank card has been compromised, call the bank immediately to report and block it.
