Courier Service Scam

Scammer may pose as courier representatives and send SMS messages containing links, asking you yo make payments for reshipment or redelivery. Be cautious of any fraudulent SMS messages claiming to be from your courier service companies.

The links sent to you often lead to a fake website that request sensitive information such as your card details and subsequently prompt you to enter a One Time Password (OTP) or click "Approve" on a push notification.

To protect yourself against these scams:
  • Always verify the legitimacy of the courier service companies by checking their official website.
  • Never click on unknown links or open attachments from unsolicited messages.
  • Be wary of messages that create a false sense of urgency and pressure you into making immediate payments.
  • Use only official websites and mobile apps of courier companies to track your parcels.
  • Never share your One Time Password (OTP) or banking credentials with anyone.
  • Avoid clicking on "Approve" on any suspicious Push Notification.
